Tricertops Birthday Cake - DS2 - 9 Years Old

This cake was created for DS2 back in 2010 for his 9th birthday.  To make the cake I used the basic cake recipe shown below.  This was then iced in white and covered with the printed icing paper that I purchased frome eBay.

This is the first cake I successfully iced myself.

This cake is simple to make and is heavy enough to take the weight of icing.

This Is My Very First Blog

I am the mother of 2 wonderful boys the youngest is 10 and the eldest is 12 on Wednesday, the reason I have set up this blog is for them.

Over the last few years I have gone from buying birthday cakes to making them.  The boys want a record of how these cakes are made, so I figure blogging is the best way to do this.

I will be putting up past creations as well as future creations, it will not be just just cakes but anything I have made for the boys - from chocolate bar wrappers to revamping bedrooms.
